AI & Coding

Building software and self-hosted tools with modern AI coding assistants.

Technology is still the point

I have spent decades solving business problems with technology. Today I also build software, and I use AI coding assistants to do it faster. I treat AI as a power tool: it speeds up the work, but I still decide what to build, review what it writes, and test that it works.

What I build

A few of my current projects.

Weather Forecast Accuracy Lab

Python · SQLite · Home Assistant

A self-hosted forecast verification tool. It compares weather model forecasts against real METAR/ASOS observations for a single location and shows the results on a web dashboard, with Home Assistant integration.

Business website

Laravel · Node.js · Express

A Laravel web application with a small Node/Express service that handles a contact-form endpoint and sends email through an API.

Self-hosted websites

nginx · Git · rsync · Cloudflare Tunnel

Several small websites, including this one, kept in Git and deployed with a one-command rsync script to my own nginx server, then published to the web through Cloudflare tunnels.

Tools I work with
